Yeah I have built my own. But I like knowing sometimes I dont have to build it, and its got warranty from someone else to fix it. I dont have the time for that. Ive got about 13-15 hrs a day between school and work. Full time work, and full time school. As of right now, my phone went kaplueee, so ill be spending some money out right on a new iphone 4s. So I may for right now buy a bigger battery for the 17R to last me, and carry that clunker around, till I get some money together, lol.

exactly.

They make those features for both platforms.

I agree with the above statement about upgrades and fixing. PC's are easy to unscrew the back to add more ram, or a different HDD or Solid State.
Well thats what I ment. I have PC itunes, and have it wirelessly synced, but to have the devices it self sync together.

Just saying, you're gonna be spending more for less with Apple, if I had $1100 to spend on a Laptop, I'd spend $450 on my Vostro V131, and spend the rest for RAM and SSD (which I did already, super speedy now)

The only reason for $1100 is because a back lit keyboard is a must, at least i5 processor, at least 6GB ram, either 14 or 15" screen, at least 8hrs battery life, and a good graphics card. The best and cheapest price for all that was $900, but for $1000 I could get better graphics, i7, 8GB ram, so I felt it was worth it. $1100, unless I can get it cheaper.
