Hi, I have seen on the internet that you can force the tpms system into learn mode by grounding a connector that is taped to the obd2 connector harness. I have looked for this connector on my recently purchased Versa Note SV and cannot see it. Does anybody know where it might be hiding?

Solved

I just had the winter tires installed and this Versa SV does not have the TPMS system, I thought it was standard on the SV but I am very happy not to have this system. Nissan must be out of their minds, they have the most user unfriendly TPMS on the market, shame on you Nissan! However, the Versa Note is a great design and runs very sweetly, at least so far.

TPMS is government mandated safety equipment on all new cars sold since 2008, so unless your car is older than that, you have TPMS.

If you are in the US or Canada you should have TPMS (thank Firestone 500 and Ford Explorer). Yes Nissan's TPMS system is a pain as you need to have it reset whenever you switch tire sets. Chrysler's TPMS is plug and play (no reset required). Not sure about the other makes.

BTW, I have a set of snow tires without TPMS and this last time it took a week for my system to realize there is no TPMS present on my tires. The light finally started blinking and after 30 seconds stays lit for the rest of the drive.

Sorry guys, it is a Canadian registered car and when the tire shop took off the summer tires there were no TPMS sensors so I guess it must have been an option when new in Canada. This makes sense as now I look more carefully, there is no light check for the TPMS when you start the car, all the other warning lights flash then extinguish. The car was used from a non Nissan dealer, they got the TPMS wrong and also told me it had an ECO mode, there is no dedicated switch that I can find and we do not have the Nav option so nothing on the centre screen also.

Someone sent me a message, my browser or my ineptitude managed to lose it before I could read it, sorry!
