Nissan's reasoning is that if you install a hitch, it lowers the rear crash impact rating to a sub-standard rating. So go ahead, just pray you dont get rear ended. Especially if you have or will have kids back there, its not worth it. What could a versa tow safely anyways? The brakes are just good enough for stopping a fully loaded car, and the 1.8 is no powermaker. lol

The concern is when you ar NOT towing a trailer, which would obviously be most of the time
