Unused cables/connector behind radio?

Hello all!

I recently got a 2014 Versa Sedan SV, and I'm looking to replace the stock radio in it with a more feature-rich one (including GPS and USB port).

I took the current one out today to get a mesaurement on dimensions, and noticed a spare connector with several wires taped to a wiring tube behind the current head unit. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is?

Thanks!

most vehicles are modular, and use largely the same wire harness. That extra connector is likely for an oem infotainment system that has more features than your stock unit.

I don't have a wiring diagram, so I can't say for sure, but i'd be willing to bet its for oem nav, bluetooth, or some other feature you don't currently have installed.
Hey Joey, I just got a 2016 and pulled the radio also finding the same extra white and blue connectors. I was actually browsing the forum hoping to find the same answer you were looking for.. So,.... LoL, did you ever find out what they were originally intended for?
