Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I got a question on the Nissan 2011 Versa.

I would like to upgrade the 2011 Versa 1.6 automatic model with power windows, power locks, power side mirrors. Is this possible? If so, how much would this cost?

wow. Well.... I wanted power locks and windows, etc, so I got the S. Some people buy aftermarket stuff, and do it. The best way to start, in my opinion, is to see if you have the harness in the door, or see if you need it. Same for the mirrors, and the mirror switch. See if theres a connector behind where your mirrors switch is, or some where around there. It seems that the S and SL trims have some prewired things. And im curious if maybe, just maybe, so is the power package, or at lest the main harness wires. My thought is that you will need to buy the harnesses for the doors and it will plug into the main plug located behind the drivers kick plate, under the carpet. But I could be completly wrong about everything, and you just have to go to a professional, or buy an aftermartket kit. But it also seems that the prewired things in the S and SL require the power package for S, or convience package for SL. Hope this helps.
Just get it from factory and save the headache of buying and waiting for parts, ripping apart the interior, installing it yourself, or even spending more if you want the dealer to do it with their insane labour rate.

If youre talking about a completely base model, then I would doubt if it had any harnesses at all for what you claim there would be. Nissan wouldnt bother prewiring it if its just a base, unless it had other power options (windows, locks, mirrors) done already.
better to get it in the first place than upgrading and going through the hassle
Thanks for the feedback, guys.

I just checked with the dealership and the dealership strongly NOT recommend having them done as there is no wiring electronic pre-installed.
What did they NOT recommend? Power locks or power windows?
I was thinking that was gonna happen, but I had my fingers crossed for you. But thats why its a 1.6, its about price, not options, lol
What did they say? I have a 1.6 as well and I plan on getting power locks.
The dealer told me that they strongly don't recommend having power lock, power windows to be installed because there is no wiring for them pre-installed like 1.8 models. I hope this helps.
Thats weird, I went to Nissan and they said that if I do it, it wouldn't be under Nissan warranty but they're cool with it. They dont recommend adding power windows though.
I remember reading a long time ago on Nico a guy did this with an ebay kit. Just go down and talk to a place that installs alarms. They should be able to advise you.
