Uprev Tuning for Versa

Anyone near our Pro Tuners or local to us here in Austin? Bring by your Versa for us to get the ROM files please. The sooner we have the ROM files, the sooner we can start offering tuning solutions through our Pro Tuners.

We will be able to offer the Osiris Standard once we have done enough dyno tunes at our office in Austin TX. Once we have a dozen or so Base Tunes created we will be able to offer Osiris Standard. Till that time we ill only be offering Osiris Flash with dyno tuning through our Pro Tuners, and Osiris Tuner for people that wish to tune their car themselves. Forced Induction support is also in the works. So please bring cars by ASAP.

please note: the CVT transmission is not currently dyno tunable. Automatic and Manual transmissions only for the time being. We may find a solution to locking the CVT into a "gear" setting that will allow them to be dyno tuned in the future.

Okay, so youre starting to install daughterboards into the versa ecu's? But you need some donor cars?
ty for taking the time to tune our versa i hope we have enough people from TX to donate their versas for a week or two :p and hopefully lock the cvts in gear ^_^v

No we do flash tuning. The ECU in Nissan vehicles is nearly identical across the board. So the same software we're writing for the 350z and Titan runs on the rest of the line up. All we need is access to more of the vehicles so we can get the ECU ROM files patched so that the Versa can be tuned.

Tuning in its current form is like the magical cure-all for vehicles. We increase the reliability, economy, and performance in one shot. By properly tuning the vehicle you get a more efficient running motor. Obviously more efficient means that you can increase mileage, as a side effect of it running more efficiently it will also net you more power. If the motor is running efficiently then it should be running safer and in the long run should help with reliability.

The cars from the factory come with so much more powerful of an ECU than any of the aftermarket companies offer that at this point in time it's just not effective to run the aftermarket stuff unless you're running some real crazy off the wall very fringe of reality power stuff. Say like a 1300hp 350z. The reason why so few companies are using the factory ECU to do tuning is because it is far easier to start with your own hardware and write your own software to make it work. Reverse engineering the Factory ECU and making your software control it is one of the most difficult things to do. We just happen to have a very talented developer and we're well known in the Nissan world for having the best product. Now we're trying to offer it to more than just the 350Z guys, why should they have all the fun?

Also we have the ability to properly support forced induction, which while not wildly popular on the Versa is being talked about. We can offer that support.

If you're in LA you can head over to any of our local Pro Tuners and have them do a ROM dump on your car. It usually doesn't take any more than 15 minutes and it helps us to get all the various ROMs so that we can add them to our Patch Queue.

Once we have the ROM patched, the Pro Tuners can tune your vehicle. There are probably somewhere in the range of 12-20 different ROMs per year per model of Nissan cars. So just one or two guys can't fill in the puzzle. We really do need support from dozens of owners to get them all. Like collecting pokemans. :prrr:
can you PM me some of the locations of your tuners, welcome to the forums.... thanks for the support!

Welcome aboard! If there was a spot in CT I would go. Hopefully versa owners and nissanVERSAforums.com can pull through and get this rolling.

so i went to Specialty Z in Chattsworth and dumped my rom files! took about 30 minutes. they just hooked up a USB cord to the computer then into the OBDII port and thats it!
anyone go with a 1.6? I wouldn't mind an upgraded program.
I got an email from uprev saying they would like to get a versa in for possible dyno tunes. So who here is from Texas?!?!?!
Sweet there is one in Fountain Valley. I'll call them up and let ya know how it goes. :)
nice! the more versas the better!
I would love to see a stock dyno with AF's to see how much room for improvement there is. Still waiting to here if any 1.6's are getting this done.
rob i do believe you are the only 1.6 on this forum...
Nope there is at least one other on here. I swear I read that before.

The 1.6 HR motor is phenominal and has great potential. It's a shame it gets disregarded in this country becasue it comes in the base. All other countries are super charging, turbo charging and ECU tuning the HR motors more so then the MR. There is even a NISMO tuned racing tiida that is making 160hp all motor on the HR16. And now there are talks of and HR16det floating around the net. Oh well maybe things will change in this country for my litttle engine :)
