Used G35 Good 2nd car?

Hi guys, just wanted to get some opinions, what do you think about 2nd hand G35 coupes? I have the Versa as a daily, but might get something for cruising.

Budget is about $10k, could be more if I traded in the Versa, but I'd only have a lil after loan is paid off. Maybe $2k more... I want something a lil quicker.

My other options are:
Mazda RX-8
Subaru Impreza Hatch
Mistubishi Lancer
Late Model Nissans (240zx/sx, 300zx, etc)

Also, is it worth it to buy a car out of warranty, (which is why I go japanese) for cash, or just upgrade to something new....like the 2013 Altima or Sentra.

I am fond of the rx-8, good HP and its rwd.

How does the Rotary stand up over time? reliable? cheap to fix?
I'd go for a G35. I love them. Also, how about an Altima? Or a 350z? My brother has one and they're fun to drive(too small in my opinion).

As for buying out of warranty...I'd make sure its manual and runs good because once you pay and drive off you're S.O.L. if something goes wrong?
I'd shy away from used turbo cars. especially subie or mitsu. People tend to pound on em hard trust me. I was shoppping for an STi and they all seemed abused. The used g35 is probably the best bang for your buck. And if you can afford it try to go 2005+. The little changes made the car much nicer, expecially in coupe.
They are more reliable now. But a rotary is anything but cheap to fix, and they dnt get very good gasp mileage. The rx mazdas are just fun to drive and they pull, the 1.3L in the rx-8 put out around 230hp if i remember right. If your looking for a more well rounded car gas mileage, powerful, and practical go with a g35.

This.

Also, a rotary engine will wear out more over time.
I dont know about Hawaii, but a G35 coupe for 10 grand around here is well worn. But like what they alluded to^^^I'll take a used NA motor over a used turbo, so +1 for used G35 or 350Z
here's one used for 9,995.00 usd and it has 90K miles
Engine:3.5L V6 24V MPFI DOHC
Transmission:5-Speed Automatic
Drivetrain:AWD
Doors:4
Wheelbase:112"

This 2004 Infiniti G35 sedan is very sharp, previous owners took excellent care of it and is a compelling choice for drivers who want the performance and handling of a true sports sedan. It is one of the quickest, best handling cars in its class. It is also comfortable and practical, with a roomy back seat, a big trunk, and the trappings of a luxury sedan. It features Leather seats, front seats are heated, auxiliary power outlet in center console, remote open/close of windows via door locks with safety, 120-Watt AM/FM stereo w/cassette/6-disc CD changer and six speakers. These are just a few of the luxury features this G35 has to offer. Drivers who want a genuine sports sedan should take a look at this G35.
