Here is some pictures of the detaling products I use. I just bought a bottle of Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Pro Hi-Tech Yellow Wax 26. I read nothing but good reviews about it online and will give it a shot.

I only use Zymol. This is the BEST, inexpensive wax on the market. And the smell is intoxicating. Anything else is whack.

Hehehe, yep! Picked up the same thing at Target! $6.00 is insane, and a savings of about $8.00!

I dont use all of these at once, but these are all the ones I use. Some of them were "let me try this" bottles, like the swirlX, now that I bought the ultimate compound, that takes the spot of swirlx and scratchx. I highly suggest using the ultimate compound with the wax cleaner. I used a foam bonnet for my buffer to use on the ultimate compund. It was a huge difference. Now the car looks like I took it home for the first time again. I am so happy. Ive been trying so hard to do this, and today I spent the money, and 6hrs applying washing, ultimate compound, wax cleaner, tech wax 2.0, interior detailing, tire shine. I did alot today, and Im happy with the results!!

I'm hoping to get out to the car wash to wash and wax this weekend... The Easter holiday will hopefully keep others outta my way!!!
I'm going to try this and see how it works. I did the old fashioned turtle wax thing in September and I figured I'd give this shot - my guns were sore with all of that waxing!

I'm going to wash and clean my versa tomorrow. Wheels are already changed so I have all day to just clean her!!! I also want to insta the final HK touches to her. Maybe even start the doors. I'll have to see if my dad is free to help me!

Put some pictures up!!!! Can't wait to see the kittyness!
That spray on wax is AWESOME! My car is so clean and it was so easy to use. It's supposed to last for 5 months (I'll be impressed if it lasts to 3, being a realist). It's so sad to see the little fine line scratches that showed up after the huge snow removal effort from the winter - I'll be trying to get them out later. It's tough because EVERYTHING shows on the black. But I am super pleased with the nice shine the spray created!!!

jen i use a whole line of Optimum product :p I used swrilx on my sisters rav 4 and my bumper it took out some pretty good size.

Here is a picture of my bumper lol i cleaned it up with swirlx "just below the Headlight. I got into an accident and scratched that area pretty bad but its shinny now :p and it doesnt look like it got hit but the cracked paint is not salvageable :p

Go optimum :p i use ONR, wax, and tire shine :p

I'm going to be buying some swirl x!!! Thanks for the tip! I see this stuff mentioned in the forums but never really have it sink into my head until I'm actually tackling the problem myself. Optimum does rock! Woo hoo!

Before swirl-x I would reconmend using ultimate compound. They are both made by meguiars. I have swirl-x, scratch-x, ultimate compound. The ultimate compound worked best out of all three. Plus the ultimate compound does what the other two do, plus it restores the color. I was truly amazed. And then I used cleaner wax, and finished it up witht the tech wax 2.0. Its best used for black cars, cause it shines and deepns the color unlike any other color. Hope this helpes out even more. Now just FYI, I bought a cheap buffer from walmart for like $20, and went to autozone and bought a foam bonnet to use on the buffer for the ultimate compound, so ur results may differ by hand.... I dunno, But its just my suggestion..... lol Heres just a pic up close to show u what it did. My car was scratchd up, spider web scratches, etc. As you know, black cars SUCK when it comes to dirt, scratches, but when its cleaned it makes it the reason why you bought black. The 2 and 3 pictures are before.

Wow. The difference is AMAZING! and yes, I buy black because it looks soooo hot when it's clean and shiny!
yes black cars always look amazing when clean but I'm OCD and hate seeing scratches of any sort or dirt. Plus I love how bright my car is. It makes a bad day much better.

I bought the rubbing compound that versa s 2007 recommended and I used it last night on the hood and hatch. Then I bought today the quik detailed spray and will use it before the meet next week. I used the rubbing compound on my dads sunfire (hood only) and it looks incredible. I definitely recommend the rubbing compound. Works wonders. It made my paint shiny but because my paint is still in good condition it's hard to tell. But use it on an older car or a car with bad paint and you'll see the difference it makes.

My older brother wants me to wash & wax his car (BMW). I'll have to do that on the next warm day that we get. I'll post pics of it before and after I work on it.

I bought this stuff the other day at Walmart, it was a slightly over $8 a bottle (a bit pricey). Use 2-4 caps for a bucket of water. It does wonders for suds, and has a carnauba wax and deep polymers to restore a deep glossy shine to the paint. The bottle came with a $5 mail in rebate, which I already filled out completely and mailed. Include the receipt and highlight the produce of purchase.

When you wash your car, do a two-bucket wash cycle. Once you wet the mitt, sponge, or hand towel, use that with the soapy water when you wash. Afterwards, put it in the rinse bucket, ring it out so the dirt stays in there. Change out the rinse bucket with fresh water after it gets saturated enough with dirt & soil. Repeat the process until the car is clean.
