bob i will need another set of visor :p lol hahahhahaha if you guys are wondering what happened.
I was following a truck on the middle lane or 3rd lane when i got to 2nd lane i was signaling to go to the 1st lane then all i heard was blam and i look and i saw this big black thing flying to my car so i tried to avoid it but it still got me :( i guess something fell off the truck and hit me :( then the windshield shattered and glasses everywhere and i ate some i think lol then the trim for the pillar hit me on the face too lol hahahaha but not that much lucky me i was wearing my brand new eye glasses that got scratched because of the broken glasses. Now im driving a rental car VW jetta 2.5 sedan and i thought it would be a better ride than the V but its not really its just its quieter than the V because of all the sound damper which im planning on putting in the V :p so yeah stay tuned after i get back my V. Damages are the driver side pillar, door trim, head light, hood and windshield lucky me the pillar fended off that unidentified item lol... Thanks God for saving me once again :p

BTW all that changing lane and stuff happened in less than 10 seconds i was changing lane quick :(

Dude, that really sucks!

I've noticed alot of people on the forums have been getting either...

A. Into accidents/mishaps
B. Debris impacting the vehicle

So glad nothing serious has occured to my car yet. I'd be so pissed if it ever happens. Keep us posted on the cost of the repairs and the damage via insurance estimates.
eerily similar to how my V looked after I wrecked it :(

..except, not quite lol

@ rogers yeah i remember you had an accident im still glad youre okie :p even though its your fault lol it looks like how my v is wrecked lol
@ VMG I guess our car looks too good so they want to get rid of us lol hahhaha jk its just we are just active in posting stuff up :p
wow...not a good versa week lol
i hope NOTHING like that ever happens to me. i tend to stay far away from trucks.
ick...
glad you're ok!!
Jeez, it sucks to see any V that banged up...but at least whether debris or another car causes damage, its really not as bad as it could be.

I'm glad both of you are alright after both instances, I guess that extra safety calculated in helps!

Good luck on repair/future driving. :spiral:
Wow! So many things happening to people's V's. What is going on?
As long as it can be fixed and your okay, that's all that really matters. Even though I too would be pissed. I never drive behind trucks or beside them, I don't trust them ...

BTW: I got the sound thing done at the dealer as it came with my warranty. I find the ride to be pretty quite.
sucks dude, maybe if your car was lowered it would have ducked under it
^ lol

Dude that really bites. mate glad you're okay, that could of ended up very bad indeed!
I know all this happend fast but were you able to get the plates off the truck... the trucks co is liable...
sucks dude, maybe if your car was lowered it would have ducked under it
HAHAHAHAHAHA :smilielol5::smilielol5:

on a more serious note, dude that sux horribly, sorry that had to happen to you. the chances of that happening are in my opinion insane. hope ur V gets put back together good as new.
hahaha thanks colby yeah i know 2 more inches and it could have scraped my roof hahahaha... thanks for all the concerns ive been sleeping all day and now im freaking wide awake lol... i guess the shock kicked my stress level all the way to the roof lol... so i just dozed it off... Did you get a sound dampening ILMV? i think thats the only thing that a versa needs...
I'm not sure what they did, but it was something to eliminate road noise ... It came free as part of my extended 7 year warranty. I'll have to look at my paperwork to see what they called it.
thats bad, sucks for you. Sorry to hear that. Its been snowing like crazy down here, and North Carolina people having this issue with driving in snow. I am in fear of my V. Keep us posted!! and good luck!
that is going to be a costly repair on that pillar there. Glad you're OK.

I think my Versa is super silent. Wonder if the hatches are louder then the sedans. I have a 1.6 so you know nothing was added to make it quieter.
What a sad little V :( I hope it heals up quickly!

Lol. I've never driven a sedan so I'm not too sure on how it sounds.
I have always thought that my Versa was quite ... never thought much about it before.
its probably an anti rust coat that acts as a sound deadening. It looks like an asphalt that they spray under carriage. IMLV does it sound like youre riding in an airplane when you drive your car kinda like pressurized inside the car :p
Is it supposed to sound like an airplane?
All I know is that I barely hear any road noise. It's a very smooth and quiet ride. All I hear are the rattles from various parts of the cabin (ie, sunglass holder, and cubby above the radio).
oh what im talking about is when you ride the plane cabin it sound so quite :p and you can feel the pressure in your ear drums :p

Heres an update to my V i visited it today and they are restoring it to its original state :p
