Hi,
i live in the middle east, and over here, they use niisan tiida (its a twin of versa).
So basically, i wanted to know all differences between versa and tiida (googling does not help).

I wanted to know the differences, and will it affect, if i buy an exported versa?
(as in its american specs rather than gulf specs)
and does it require the same spare parts as tiida? incase i need any

Well I'm no expert but I believe that many nissan cars have lots of Interchangeable parts and being that versa and tiida are basically same model but diffrent names I say that parts are interchangeable. A dealer might be able to reasure you though, so you could also call a nissan dealer.

Welcome! I don't know much about the Tiida, but you can check Versa specs on nissan.ca or nissan.com
I have a 2008 Versa hatchback with 1.8L MR18 motor and 6 speed manual transmission.
Most cars are left-hand-drive here. How about there? 08v

I believe they are the same thing...I'm from trinidad and when I went there to visit I seen a bunch of then! The pretty much look the same! Inside and out from what I could tell. Yea some parts look different but the placement all looked the same. I believe the engine is the same too! But that I'm not sure

yeah, in the uae, all cars are left hand drive.

over here, in tiida, 1.6L is more common.
and manual gearbox, is something very rare (everyone has automatic)

one difference which i saw, is that, none of the tiida's here have cruise control. (except the sport edition i guess)

Can anyone compare the specs from here
http://www.nissan.arabianautomobiles.com/vehicle/tiida_sd/index.html
and tell me if the engine components are the same.

Thanks

I like the tiida sport sedan. That's nice. I like the center radio/climate control layout too.

Well, I don't know about the Gulf Tiidas but here in the USA all the Versas are assembled in Aguascalientes Mexico and the only difference that I have found between the two are that here in USA they are called Versa and in Mexico they are called Tiida, and some Tiidas in Mexico are offered with the 1.5L engine.

the difference is in the front/rear bumpers and the hood is different. tiida has smaller bumpers than the versa

^^AFAIK the hood is the same.

The bumpers MAY be different due to crash regulations. But the HR16 and MR18 models are fundamentally identical across the world...barring minor differences in trim level and LHD/RHD considerations.

Look into the radiator. I know with the Middle Eastern spec Altima and the US version Altima, the Middle Eastern one has a much thicker radiator stock to handle the more extreme heat conditions. The US spec model Altima wouldnt do so well over there with the smaller core radiator. Something like this would be of great importance to know before importing a Versa. :)

As far as I know, Tiida is Versa. Exactly same, but different name some how.
??????? [ TIIDA ] ??????? Web???? ???
As you see here, in Japan used Tiida as their model number,
and versa was not using.
In Japan they discontinued Tiida, however in US, Canada, the nissan Note heritage name as nissan versa-note.
which means versa-note's actual previous model is note not versa (or tiida)
