first pic shows motor mount, second one is a proportioning valve for the brakes I believe. Used in ABS systems but might also be found in non ABS systems.

How is that rusted. Its rubber. Thats gotta be dirt
The first is called a Torque Strut Mount and keeps the engine from moving too much when shifting. The second I am not certain but it looks like part of the ABS system.
Check the condition of the bushing on the inside if the mount , if it shows signs of wear , replace it . for the metal part you have nothing to worry about. If you care you could always sand off the rust and paint it .and for first one, is this rust harmful or i can live with it?
My car does not have abs and has that brake manifold. I think its odd they sold SL's without ABS.

Just looked it up in the FSM and it is indeed the proportioning valve like I said. It can be found on both ABS and non ABS vehicles.
