That seems fair, replacement engine shouldn't be more than a grand so anyone who just got their income tax back could jump on that lol.
Crazy but true. They probably spend $500 or less on that engine and sell the car for the price of a new 1.6 sedan. Probably don't even tell the customer it's a new engine. They know that if they do, that car will never sell. Specially if it doesn't have any warranty.2500 and that dealer puts a motor in for cost and bam on the lot for 8k....
They by law have to disclose that information.Crazy but true. They probably spend $500 or less on that engine and sell the car for the price of a new 1.6 sedan. What type of car are they buying. If you have a rod knock on a solid lifter engine, then someone beat the crap outta that car. You will need a 7 yr./100,00mi. warranty next time. Probably the elantra is the ticket. I wish Hyundai would have made the grille of the elantra similar to the sonata. That would have been the ticket. I rented an elantra in Cali last month. We had it for 3 days. Drove it everywhere and only used 9 gallons of gas. Plus it was great in the mountains lotta getup. My opine.Yeah i mentioned it to my dad as a option, get a new engine, swap, re sell for a profit, but they need a car stat.
like i said in my first post, middle aged parents owned the car, they didn't beat on itWhat type of car are they buying.
