Wheels? Tires? clueless....

Hey guys, just a few questions, kinda new to car mods, any advice is appreciated.

I want to get some aftermarket rims for my versa hatch, what's the max tire/wheel size I can attach without changing the suspension?

I still want good handling, still wanna go over speed bumps or bad roads

I would've bought alloys at Nissan, but they were kinda pricey.....

I think the current size is 15x7 with a 205/65R-15? I just want to "plus-size" it to maybe 16" or 17"

I added 17", didn't lower her & don't plan to. Check out my pics to see the gap. It's almost the same as when the stock alloys were on.

I ordered thru Discount Tire Direct. They were very helpful at answering any of my questions and were very reasonable in terms of price. :)

Edit: picture link.

That's pretty good actually!

Are those stock brakes? Versa stock are disc right? Don't plan on changing brakes just yet...

Thanks :)

Yep stock brakes with rear drums. They are just painted and added the "Nissan" wording to the front calipers.
sorry to ask again, but did you change the tire width? I think the max , according to DTD is 215, original is actually 185....

or did you use the same tires?
change to a 17x7 +35 or +42 with a 215 series tire. It will handle much better.

"+35 +42" is that that the ratio?

kinda new at this

The tires on her new rims are 17" tires, stock ones were15".
I didn't add any spacers when installing; but did use the hub rings they sent.

I'm pretty sure my new ones are 215. They are wider than stock.

Edit: Here's the link to the rim info and tire info to the ones I have. They are 17x7.

They always have different specials and ship for free to anywhere in the US. If you order from them just call them. They are very helpful.
I think 17's would be the biggest I'd go.

With the Discount tire, you can also look at tirerack and see what they have too. They usually have good deals as well.

Ya mine were $900 even after the warranty and taxes. Pretty cheap for brand new rims & tires, especially compared to prices where I live!

Be sure to post up pics when you get them installed :)

Privately owned tire shops should be able to do it.
