Very likely that the two engines have totally different parts inside them..........turbos generally have highly modified engines to take all that power without breaking.
pimperell and Pickleweed like this.

To my understanding, the second gen Versas have the HR16de engine, while the Juke has the MR16ddt engine. Two completely different engines, however versions of the Nissan Tiida have had the MR16ddt installed from factory. Meaning, in theory, the turbo engine could easily mount into the versa. Actually, I just checked wikipedia and there was a version of the Juke in Europe that had the HR16de and made the same amount of power. This further supports the Hr16de to MR16ddt swap in our Versas.

I have had the idea to do this for some years now, but there is an extreme lack of information about things like this on the internet at the moment. One of these days I will get both of these engines side by side and document what is possible and what isn't. I assume it would be as easy as swapping an mr20de into a first gen versa, but who knows.

Another option is the turbo versions in the HR family. Some parts may swap over easily for a cheap, oem fitting turbo set up.

I read a webpage where a car dealer in Europe or something did it to his versa sedan. I'm wondering, would the parts from the HR16DE(T) on the Juke you found be different from the HR16DE or be identical or would the body and pistons be reinforced on the juke? I'll find the webpage and post it

Keep in mind the HR16DE is a GDI engine and you can't manually tune it, you have to use a computer timing programmer and the crud would build up 5x faster in your cylinders due to back flow from the PCV.... unless you can make a way to bypass the PCV while reprogramming the ECU which would be the smartest way if it's at all possible and then vent the PCV into the exhaust to be able to pass an inspection that way. Emission standards fucked us all. Gasoline cars will be obsolete in 30 years anyway.
