About 3 months ago, I bought a brand-new 2024 Nissan Sunny (Versa) with the CVT transmission. I’ve noticed something that doesn’t quite feel right as I drove off the dealership till now — there’s a slight but frequent jerk that happens whenever I let go of the accelerator.
I mentioned it to the dealer, and they said it’s normal. However, I’m not entirely convinced that this is normal behavior for a new car.
To explain in more detail: when I accelerate gently and then release the pedal, the car jerks back and forth for about a second, almost as if it’s trying to adjust itself too aggressively.
Has anyone else experienced this with the same model? I just want to make sure it’s normal and not an early sign of a transmission or tuning issue — I’d really like this car to stay smooth and reliable well beyond the warranty period.
Thanks in advance for your input!
