Can someone tell me what this part is called? It is located on the left side or drivers side of the engine and is seeping oil around the base. This started after my wife had the oil changed at a quick stop oil change place and later I noticed they had overfilled

the oil by almost 2 1/2 liters.

No offense but this is why you should never use these "quick lubes" because the people doing the oil changes have no idea what they're doing. Your car is now likely leaking oil due to the overfill. I would take the car to a reputable place that has experienced mechanics and have the oil changed properly. If after the oil change is redone and the car is still leaking oil, you can go to your local parts store and buy some engine dye to run in your engine and that'll help you determine where the leak is.

No offense taken. I 100% agree and normally I do our oil changes but I had just had both knees replaced and my wife had decided to get an oil change done at one of those quick change places. It was about a week later that I noticed an oil spot on the driveway so I had a look and it had been overfilled by almost 2 1/2 liters. I walked my wife through draining out the extra oil which was good for her to know anyway but now it is still losing a bit of oil so I guess it's time to take it somewhere to find out how much damage has been done. Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate any input from the community. I would have to say, lesson learned for my wife and myself.

The oil level first needs correcting or the excess oil will keep blowing out. Once that done, carefully wipe pipe off and to clean and then see if oil appears there again. You may have to wipe a couple times before you get it all off.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, we have drained out the excess oil already but the leak seems to still be happening although not as much. I changed the PVC valve now as well just in case. The valve was a little gummed up and would rattle but not like the brand new one so hopefully that helps to make a difference. I will keep checking the leak regularly and see if it is rectified now or if I need to take further action.
