You can use the same housing for the hids. The kit you buy should bring a balast that will connect to the stock headlight wire. There is a good DIY on Nico with pictures and all you should check out. versa09pwns posted a good sale on www.hidextra.com

 

Okay, well what size? Just get H4 like the stock bulb?

 

I dont know anything bout the headlights in the versa (never had to mess with them before) but these arnt required for the versa right (Dashboard Warning Canceller, Relay Wire Harness)

 

headlights have styles IE h4 h5 h6 9003 9004. I believe ours are h4 or 9003. I will have to look it up.

I also wonder if it's going to cause more glare since the reflector isn't made for HIDs.

I think they are 9003's and they wont be a nice crisp line with out the projector lense they will be more like standered bulbs but brighter from what I have heard

As far as glare I'm sure they do produce some type of glare. But from what I have noticed HIDS are not as bright as they used to be and am no longer blinded when I drive on the streets by bright. That's just my experience don't know if yours is the same as mine.

 

I know for a fact they are H4 and fogs are H8/H11 I know because i bought them and it also says in our manuals

I just found out a day or two after I posted the thread. Dang Europeans and swapping everything when will they realize that Metric is the best? Oh wait that's us...

 

lol yeah i understand. I never understood y dont they just make them all the same size. the bulb doesnt even matter its the metal plate behind it is wat makes the diff sizes lol
