Been a while since I visited this thread and it seems a lot of heat has brewed during that time. Can't we all get along I'll admit when I bought the V in the back of my mind I foresaw the possibly of it obtaining a big modding community much like the Civic originally did, but that was the farthest away from why I bought it. I like the style of the V's Hatchback over all others save for a Mazda3 and I wanted really good MPG and it delivered as well as awesome handling and since I live in an area with a lot of snake turns everywhere this was a huge plus for me.

If you want easy 200hp without bolt on mods, swap the MR18DE for a QR25DE off the B16 Spec-V. May require some work, but it's possible. Not sure who has done that yet.

haha. no one. I would love to, but it seems like waaay to much work for me. I'm thinking you'd probably need an entire wrecked spec-v donor car to make it work. They are hard to come by, at least in my area.

engine upgrades was not on my list when I bought the versa.

I just wanted a car good on gas and more reliable

if you need to prove how fast you can drive a car or if you want a car that can keep up with sports cars, the Versa is not it :nono: I'm not talking down on the Versa, its just the lack of aftermarket/performance support is not available just general CAI, exhaust and little stuff. so get something else.

you're looking at least 3,000 USD for this set up but I don't think this could fit on the Versa.

Ppl talkin down on the v way to much don't like the car sell it and get off the forums. If anyone wants thier v to have the traction of a track car they can have it at Tue right price, for now ppl want some get up and go for the v. You negative ppl on here seem to think if the cars not fast or sporty you can't enjoy it, when some of our members just want to make the v look good and don't care about performance. Just chill out.

Its not that people don't like their Versa, some of us just have a realistic view of them.

People are telling him to go F.I. on it. A fact was stated... it can't be properly done unless your willing to dump more than the car is worth into it.

No one said you can't enjoy it if its not fast or sporty.

I say everyone is entitled to their opinion. Give feedback, but try to be nuetral. Yes. The V has it's plus and minus's. I say if someone is willing to put alot of money into their car to make it faster, I say good luck to them.
200 hp would be interesting to drive, and feel in a V, I think.
I like my V. It is hella more peppy/faster than my sentra 1.8 2006 was. :thumb2: And oh those turns :drool5: I love watching people in front of me brake because the turn is too tight for them, whereas I just "glide" on through.
